We have set up a new area in school this year called The Cocoon. This room is in the Key Stage 2 building and is split into two halves. Half is the library where classes can go to access our lovely books and during reading lessons. Families can enjoy this area in our after school library drop-in sessions on Mondays.

The other half is our regulation space. This area has lots of equipment for children to use to meet their sensory needs and help them to regulate their emotions such as a trampoline, dark tents, peanut ball, exercise ball, fidget toys, colour-changing lamps, balance boards and fidget toys. Staff can take children here and help them to co-regulate when needed.

The room also has a lovely quiet work area so support staff can take children there when they need a quiet space to work away from the classroom.
