School Clubs

Here at Burnopfield, we offer a wide range of exciting club opportunities after school.We have something for everyone. Clubs run after school, often for an hour and cover a multitude of activities and interests.

Clubs can be run by our teachers and teaching assistants or by different outside agencies. 

 - 

Some of the clubs we offer are:

 

Film club - bring your snacks and chill in film club where we watch a range of films from around the globe. 

Sports clubs - These can differ based on time of the year, some of our past clubs include running club, multisports, tennis club, gymnastics, football, netball and HIIT training

Digital Detectives - We are offer pupils the opportunity to experience and learn the following:

  • Website Design

  • APP Creation

  • Video Creation

  • Pixel Art

  • Digital Photography

  • Graphic Design

  • Augmented Reality

  • Create How 2 Guides

  • Quizzes & Questionnaires

Photography club - Our budding school photographer and year 4 teacher Mr Gray will share some top tips and experience on how to use your devices to take some amazing photographs.

Forest School - Grab your wellies and head down to our forest school where you will take part in some wonderful activities centered around nature. 

Art Club - In art club, you will be given the chance to release your inner artist and experiment with a range of different materials and media.

Languages - Here you have the opportunity to work with local Spanish and French teachers to learn a new language using fun games and activities. 

Book Club - If books are your thing, you will love our book clubs/library sessions. Here you have the chance to read a wide range of books and take part in exciting activities and discussions based around them. You can also browse our amazing library and share any recommendations you have. 

Choir - Our Y5 and 6 Choir meets every Monday after school. Run by our Music Lead Mrs Adams and a Music professional, our children are given an enriching experience where they are able to make progress with their singing. The children take part in different vocal warm ups, practise performing a range of songs and also enjoy taking part in fun activities such as rounds. The children are given the opportunity to perform as a Choir in front of a large audience in assemblies each term.

 

These are just a few of the clubs we offer, we are adapting and updating our clubs regularly to keep children interested and engaged and we love any suggestions for new clubs!
