School Council

KS1 Council

The Key Stage 1 Council plays a crucial role in supporting the school and representing the voices of younger children. They are involved in raising money for school events and helping to organize fundraising activities such as sponsored events. The KS1 council also helps judge competitions within the school, ensuring that children's efforts are recognised fairly.  Additionally, the council provides valuable feedback on school events, sharing ideas and suggestions to make them even better. One of their key responsibilities this year is promoting road safety by raising awareness about how to stay safe when walking or cycling to school. Through these various roles, the Key Stage 1 Council helps improve the school environment and contributes to a safer, more engaging community for everyone.

KS2 Council

The KS2 Council are a group of children from years 3 - 6, who are voted for by their peers. When elected to the council, it is their responsibility to facilitate a number of events including: raising money for school fund through a Break the Rules Day, raising money for Children’s Cancer North by organising and running the summer Fun Run, and by judging various school-wide competitions across the year. This year the KS2 Council will also be taking part in a Road Safety program, as well as being responsible for delivering all of the information to the rest of the school.
